Aerospace Occupations Dedication Ceremony


On May 2, 2013, The Aerospace Occupations Program at Upper Valley Career Center was officially dedicated. The first students to complete the program will be graduating this month. This program was funded through the Paul G. Duke Foundation and implemented with the help of the WACO Historical Society. It is exciting to see an aviation program for high students that want to pursue aerospace careers!

Our Mission

The WACO Historical Society has a dual purpose: Preservation of history of the WACO Aircraft Company and the Golden Age of Flight; and the education of young people in the area of math, science, technology and history, using aviation themes as a means toward enhancing student enthusiasm and response to traditional classroom curriculum.
